The Tour: Where Hope Is Passed Forward
The Baton of Hope Tour isn’t just about miles travelled, it’s about voices heard, lives connected and hope passed hand-to-hand. Every time the Baton changes hands, something powerful happens. A conversation begins, stigma loosens, and someone feels less alone.
Our UK-wide Tours carry this hope location to location, turning a simple gesture into a movement for change. Below you’ll find what’s been done, what’s happening now, and where we’re heading next.
Why The Tour Matters
The Tour is our frontline. It’s where national awareness meets local communities. By visiting schools, workplaces, towns and cities, we bring suicide prevention out of the shadows and into everyday conversation. From urban locations to rural spots, and everywhere else in between, the Baton has and will continue to travel through places like these to give everyone a voice about suicide prevention and awareness.
Our Baton Bearers are carefully selected to represent those who have been affected by or lived experience of suicide, or want to support The Baton of Hope’s purpose of bringing change and hope to the world, because no one deserves to die by suicide. Their journeys as part of our Tours are powerful, meaningful and give hope to others to show that you matter.
During our Tours, it’s not just about being part of the route or coming along to support. It’s about raising awareness of our other initiatives like Our Pledges, alongside work that’s being done in every single local community to stand up to suicide. Putting suicide awareness and prevention on the national agenda, united with one voice to make others aware.
