2027 Tour: The Baton Is Back
Twice now, the Baton of Hope has crossed the UK and twice, something extraordinary has happened. In 2023, our inaugural Tour visited 12 locations and became the UK’s largest ever suicide prevention initiative. In 2025, we went further: 20 locations, 40 days, and a national conversation that reached all the way to a London finale.
In 2027, we go again.
This time, the Baton will travel to 21 communities across the UK, chosen from over 60 towns, cities and regions that put themselves forward. Each one will host the Baton for a day: carried hand-to-hand along a local route, surrounded by the people, services and stories working to Stand Up to Suicide in their area.

Become a 2027 Baton Bearer
Every time the Baton changes hands, hope is passed forward. Our Baton Bearers are the heart of the Tour. People bereaved by suicide, people with lived experience, and people who simply believe that no one deserves to die by suicide. In 2027, that person could be you.
Applications are now open until the 31st January 2027.
Applications are open across all 21 locations but each location has a limited number of places. Once a location reaches its number it will close early, so we’d encourage you to apply as soon as you can.
