Alice: Boxing for Hope & Tough Mudder
Boxing for Hope
This was a charity boxing event where 30 incredible fighters committed to eight weeks of training before stepping into the ring to compete against each other. It was incredibly inspiring to see the group supporting each other and one of the most memorable moments was a marriage proposal in the ring at the end!
It was an unforgettable day that brought the community together for an important cause. I’ve had my own mental health struggles and boxing was something that saved me so I wanted to honour that by supporting The Baton of Hope through this initiative.
Tough Mudder
A team of brave participants – my husband and his friends – united as the Maidstone Mudders. They took on a gruelling 15 km obstacle course full of mud, water, and even electric shocks to raise funds for The Baton of Hope.
Inspired by the loss of loved ones to suicide in our friendship group, we wanted to break the stigma and spark conversations about mental health.
Boxing and exercise aren’t just great for physical health – they play a huge role in mental wellbeing. Training provides structure, discipline, and a positive outlet for stress, which can significantly improve mood and resilience. These events showed how sport can bring people together and create a supportive environment that promotes good mental health.
Total raised for Alice’s Boxing for Hope event and Tough Mudder challenge was £10,000+.
