Alison: Swimming the Kent Baton Route Distance
My fundraiser was swimming the same distance that the Baton was being carried around the Kent & Medway leg of the 2025 Tour. Alice our Area Organiser, gave me the rough distance – 12,875 meters – and I calculated that I needed to swim 20 lengths of my local pool for 43 days.
I was chosen to carry the Baton on 22nd September in Kent & Medway in memory of my daughter Charlie, who we lost to suicide in December 2022 aged just 13.
For this swimming fundraising challenge, I raised £894.
