Locations & Dates Revealed for The Baton of Hope’s 2027 Tour
Twenty-one cities, towns and regions have been selected to be part of our third Tour, bringing the world’s first physical symbol of hope to places across the UK.
It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for. Our 2027 Tour locations have been selected, and The Baton of Hope is delighted to reveal where & when we will be bringing the Baton to next year.
We had 60 applications in total from different places nationwide who showed their interest in being one of the stops on our biennial event. And following a rigorous process conducted by our Tour Organising Committee, we can now reveal the 21 locations for our 2027 Tour.

- 1st September: Surrey
- 2nd September: Hertfordshire
- 4th September: Luton
- 6th September: Aldershot
- 8th September: Plymouth
- 10th September: Cardiff
- 11th September: Bath & North East Somerset
- 13th September: Birmingham
- 15th September: Nottingham
- 17th September: Lincolnshire
- 18th September: Hull
- 20th September: Doncaster
- 21st September: Sheffield
- 23rd September: Lancashire & South Cumbria
- 24th September: Liverpool
- 26th September: Oldham
- 28th September: Northumberland
- 29th September: Scottish Borders
- 1st October: Kilmarnock & East Ayrshire
- 3rd & 4th October: Northern Ireland
- 6th October: Isle of Man
- 10th October: Grand Finale (location TBC)
Mike McCarthy, Co-Founder of The Baton of Hope, said: “We stage the event every two years and 2027 will see our third national Tour. We have been astounded by the profound engagement generated by the Tours and witnessing just how warm and positive the reaction is from the places we visit.
“To those who applied to be Project Leads and host one of the locations next year – thank you. Without people like you up and down the country, we wouldn’t be in our third year of this initiative that continues to build momentum and visibility of this increasingly important topic.”
So what happens next? Next month, we will be opening up Baton Bearer applications for each of the 2027 Tour locations, launching on 1st September 2026 with a deadline to apply by 31st January 2027. Each location has a limited number of places and once it reaches its maximum number it will close early, so we’d encourage anyone looking to apply to do it as soon as we’ve launched the online form to apply.
Our Project Leads will also be getting to grips with planning for their location, working closely with members of The Baton of Hope team to bring it to life.
