Training Accredited by The Royal Society for Public Health

The accreditation covers two of our face-to-face courses, which focus on training individuals in suicide awareness and prevention.

The Baton of Hope is delighted to announce that two of our training courses have been accredited by The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), the world’s longest-established public health body dedicated to protecting and promoting the public’s health and wellbeing.

The two face-to-face courses which are now accredited by the RSPH are:

  • Suicide Awareness and Prevention course: a three-hour workshop focused on awareness raising and skills building designed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to provide safe and meaningful suicide first aid interventions.
  • Mental Health Foundation course: a three-hour workshop designed to raise awareness of mental health and its varying states.

Both accredited courses, which have been created and are delivered in collaboration with Gravitas Medical Solutions, can be booked by businesses who have signed up to one of The Baton of Hope’s Pledges, or as a standalone initiative for organisations who want to upskill their staff in suicide prevention and awareness.

This validation adds credibility and value to our workshop courses, with the RSPH calling them “ambitious and very powerful”. In a sea of unregulated providers, this sets The Baton of Hope apart as a leading light in standing up to suicide and improving and saving lives.

Ben Wilson, Clinical Director at The Baton of Hope, said: “We are delighted at the recognition from the Royal Society for Public Health. It means a tremendous amount to have our work validated by such a prestigious body – giving learners faith in the material and learning objectives.”
