Rob Brady

Organising Committee

Rob lost his close friend Chris to suicide in 2016. Since then, much of what he does has been shaped by that loss and by a determination to prevent others experiencing the same pain. Rob has been fundraising consistently for mental health and suicide prevention causes, using ultra-marathon running as a way to raise awareness, start conversations and challenge silence. He was a Baton bearer in Canterbury during the Baton of Hope 2025 Tour, carrying Chris with him and standing for hope, visibility and change. Rob has also shared his story on the TEDx stage, speaking openly about grief, shame, and the importance of talking before things reach crisis point. He says that while losing Chris changed his life forever, using his voice and his body to help others feel less alone gives purpose to the pain.
