Expanding Our Impact: Join Our Board of Trustees

We are seeking a passionate and skilled IT Trustee to join our Board. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the organisation’s digital and technology strategy, ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and fit for the future.

As a member of the Board, you will work closely with fellow trustees and the senior team to:

• Provide strategic guidance on digital transformation, IT systems, and cyber security.
• Help the Board understand digital opportunities and risks.
• Support the development of a clear IT and digital strategy aligned with our organisational goals.
• Advise on best practice for data protection, information governance, and digital accessibility.
• Champion the effective and ethical use of technology across the organisation

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Professional experience in IT, digital transformation, cyber security, or a related field.
• Strong strategic and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to non-technical colleagues.
• An understanding of (or willingness to learn about) the charity and voluntary sector.
• A commitment to Baton of Hope’s mission, vision and values.
  Previous trustee experience is welcome but not essential — we welcome applications from those new to governance.
